In Kyotango Japan, the rope culture oysters are in its full season. This particular farm produces about 100,000 LBS a year.

Red Snapper 鯛

A program on an aquaculturist in Japan Sumio Okumura.

Third of Japan’s Aquaulture is Tai- Red Snapper. Okumura grows about 35,000.

He mostly works alone but in Japan the local fishermans guild helps out.

Tuna

My favorite food of all time is tuna. Raw tuna. But these days much of the tuna is grown around Aurstralia, Japan and the Mediterranean. Most of these techniques involves capturing small tuna and raising them in a pen with controlled amounts of food.

Here is a video I found showing the Tukiji market in tokyo where all of the fish sold in Tokyo region gathers first for auction.
